Paris police have ordered the evacuation by Friday of a migrant camp on the Seine quays, established after the occupants were evicted from the Gaîté Lyrique on March 18. The prefecture cites public order concerns due to the camp's size (over 250 people, 140 tents). The migrants, some 450 youths who occupied the Gaîté Lyrique for over three months demanding housing and recognition as minors, had refused alternative housing options. The initial Gaîté Lyrique eviction involved arrests and OQTFs.
